Lil John, Gabrielle Union party hearty
Rapper Lil Jon and Dwyane Wade’s girlfriend, Gabrielle Union, were at The Florida Room at Delano Tuesday night with a group of close friends. Earlier that night, Union was seen dining at Zuma with friends. The frequent partygoers opted out of the typical tequila shot, ordering custom crafted cocktails from mixologist John Lermayer. Lil John and Union sat at the bar, ordering round after round for their group. At one point, Lil John got behind the bar, sipped a cocktail and put his arm around Lermayer before yelling his signature, “YEEAAAHHHHH,” to the packed house.
Last Sunday, John Travolta, his daughter, Ella, and 20 other airline enthusiasts — including Roger Jarman, president of the Historic Flight Foundation; Carlos Gomez, President of Florida Air Transport; attorney Roland Moore; and Chris and Carla Sloan, of Miami-based 2C Media — inaugurated the DC-7 Historical Flights by flying from Opa-locka to Key West for dinner at Kelly’s and then back to Opa-locka, all in three hours. Travolta took pictures, talked airplanes and enjoyed the flight on the world’s only flying passenger Douglas DC-7. He sat in the aft lounge of the plane and visited the cockpit. He and his daughter flew over in the 50 passenger 1958 vintage Eastern Airlines DC-7, which the actor has been actively involved in preserving.

Miami’s real estate market isn’t what it used to be, which could be why HGTV has decided to launch a new season of its show My First Sale right here. The prime time show is looking for first-time home sellers and their real estate agents in and around Miami.
“Our cameras will be there to capture all the trials and tribulations, stress and success of prepping for sale, pricing, negotiating and ultimately selling a home for the first time.” If they sell the home, that is. Taping starts in the fall. For those interested, AStoehrmann@highnoontv.com or (303) 712-3145.
